So what does that mean with Libranet? Well, I'm not going to be developing Libranet any further myself. If any one has any interesting ideas or propositions I'm open to hearing them. For now I'll keep the Libranet forum and mailing lists running (though I do need some forum moderators to keep an eye on things). I'll update the Libranet website with a more official sort of announcement in the next while.

It seems that there is a possibility to be able to get the sources, if someone comes with a good proposition. Though, I personally think it is less work to get Koala up to speed (I am serious here, that is my estimation of the code bases).

This is good that there will be some closure.
I really wished that Libranet could be released to the community. There would have to be some leadership to rise up with some vision of direction of such a project. And of course programmers that have an interest in Libranet. I am only an end user person. I really like the feel and how Libranet is put together. I would like to see it developed and continue. But that is really in the hands of Tal as to what he feels is the best thing for this work.

I had hoped that the Libranet libraries could be at least be opened.

Thanks for posting that danieldk. At least we now know for sure that there will be no more official Libranet releases and we can move on in other directions.

I check Tal's blog regularly and so just noticed his latest on moving forward and on Libranet.

At last it is official that LN is no more apart from those of us who still cling to what is left even if the remains are more pure Debian. It is probably appropriate that Tal also ends the LN forum before degenerates into an X rated spammers haven.

I wish Tal well in the next stage of his life.
