View Full Version : Disgusting remarks on Libranet Forum!
There is a very hateful, disgusting post on the Libranet forum. I don't think anyone here thinks that way. If they do, they are severely out of line. I was shocked to read the post and its content.
I would just like to say that the Libranet company and Tal provided me with the product that they advertised. They provided the support they promised and always treated me fairly and honestly. I am still receiving value from LN 3.0 and will continue to use it until I find a need to use something else. I would like Libranet to continue but I understand the reasons that it is not.
Please don't post anything here that is in any way like the post I read on Libranet.
Thank you,
Jeff

I can only agree with you. It is rather unfortunate that some people carry such amounts of hate, and hurt others with it.
Daniel,
Some of that hate was directed at you. I am sure that he is the only one that thinks that way. I am sorry that you, Tal, and Jon are subjected to ideas like that.

Fos, Daniel and all,
I reacted to the idiocy on the forum. While turning the other cheek may be noble, I honestly feel that an answer is necessary. I only hope I haven't offended normal people.

Edit. Tal reacted. In a good way. In the Libranet spirit.
Further edit. Removed my angry words there.

Tal reacted better than I would have!!!!

I have been dropping by the old Libranet forum, mainly in order to help the occasional newbie who has stumbled upon the place.
However, between the outright spam and bullshit spam/porn new accounts, I have found it increasingly annoying, to the point where I will no longer visit the site after this evening.
I'm concerned that the continuing deterioration of the site may have some kind of negative impact, especially on the aforementioned newcomers to Linux.
I think there is a good deal of information and tips in some of the postings and how-tos, but I'm wondering if it's worth keeping the forum active?
It would be nice to have a database dump, so the good stuff could be extracted and saved.
Ah, well.
I agree, it would be nice to salvage the knowledge database. I guess Tal is just too tied up getting his new life in order to deal with the deteriorating situation.
We can hope.
