As you probably know, Apple has an aversion to flash. I also hate to purchase a Quicktime addon from Apple for $20 to play mpeg.

I need to stream video that would be as largely available - cross platform - as possible.

Any ideas for a good solution? (Open Source preferably)

VLC can stream video.
