Help needed. I want to print out menu-cards from OpenOfficeDraw where I can easily set up the correct paper size for working. Now when it gets to printing, CUPS does not have that size in store and none of the other formats match (has to be 2 times 10,5 x 21 cm == 21x21 = unfolded DIN lang in German).
How can I add a custom paper size for having it within the selection within the printing dialog of cups?
Have searched the KDE CUPS settings but found nothing obvious.

I haven't seen any way to do it. Do have you paper cut to that size? Are you printing both sides?
I use to have a couple of cases of preforated DIN A4 for customer info. It was A4 wide and half the height.. I made a template to match the paper size. The paper was held tight to the right edge of the paper tray. If I can remember right, it has been 2 years, there was printing problems.
How time flies, I flew out of Minga on 14th June 2 years ago.

Thaks Paul! In the meantime I worked around it by using A4 and limit the drawing to the imaginary paper size. Apparently this works with the PSC 2355 automatic paper detection (i.e. it does not complain).
Another way I have found is to edit the printers PPD file. But I would consider this too much hassle for doing the job in my case. It appears that there is no clean and easy solution to add odd paper sizes to CUPS. Maybe I launch a feature request ...

P.S.: finally more than 20 °C in Munich ... what Napoelon once said: 9 months of winter and 3 months no summer, that's what the germans call fatherland ...
