My cdrom on my laptop died ,, and I cannot boot from usb. Debian has a floppy net install .
Does Libranet allow for floppy net install also?

Libranet 3.0 can install via the net (if the Libranet archive is still up). But no floppy net install.

I had the same problem. I got around it by buying a laptop to desktop converter for the laptop harddrive replced thedrive in my desktop with my laptop drive and used my desktop to install it. Then I just switched them back when it asked to reboot. I had no hardware issues at all doing it that way. I have done this with both Ln3 and Kubuntu. (the converter was $15(CAD))

ps there are also ways to get grub to boot from an iso image but you need to have linux already installed to start with
