I was considering buying a Blackberry 7100. My Palm pilot is slowly dying, though it would be nice to have the address book and the phone in one package. I am using jpilot to sync to the palm, does any one know if this will work with the Blackberry also?

Have you considered a Palm Treo 650? I heard its Linux compatibility is very good and it is a full fledged Palm and phone. The sole disadvantage is a big one: the price (currently 530 EUR here in DE).

http://tigerdirect.ca has a 4-channel (GSM 850, 900, 1800 and 1900) unlocked BlackBerry 7100 phone forCAD $ 159 that is about 115 Euros. It is unlocked so any network is usable.. There is a big difference in price there

There are no drivers for the Blackberry for Linux. At lest that is what my 30 second google search turned up.
I just saw this petition for Linux drivers.
