While experimenting with a LiveCD version of CentOS 4.3 today, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to download and use Gnopernicus screen reader and screen magnification software. I have tried using it on other systems previously and found it less than functional.
Even running from the LiveCD on my minimal Via Mini-ITX M10000N system, it was still responsive using both the screen reader and magnifier software at the same time.
I intend to build a computer system just for this application and will let you know how it works out in the weeks ahead.
