View Full Version : Path setting in WinXP ?
OK Windows gurus, I need some help. I was pretty good in the old dos days, but I can't figure out where to modify the PATH in WinXP Pro?
Any ideas?
Thanks, fos....
I found it:
Right click "My Computer" then "Advanced Tab" then "Environmental Variables" button and edit the path.
I miss command lines.

• Open up Control Panel (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel)
• Open the System Component (alternate option to these steps is to right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select Properties)
• Click on the 'Advanced' tab
• Click on 'Environment Variables'
• In the System variables box at the bottom, scroll down to the Path variable
• Click on edit
• Add or remove as necessary (Each different directory is separated with a semicolon)
I checked this on Windows 2000, but I'm pretty sure it's the same for XP.

 I was replying as you posted your own reply. Oh well.
Thanks Stafio,
I'm a little unfamiliar with Windows, I try to forget it when I'm not at work.
Thanks for the help, fos....
