I hope this means even better Linux support for ATI cards.
I like AMD processors, their price, performance, and efficiency fit my needs. The competition they provide improves both their offerings and Intel's.
IMHO, the biggest problem with using them is with the support chip sets. The NVIDIA chips and the set up problems they cause are a pain in the neck. Now thay they have ATI, maybe things will improve. Let's hope they provide support and assistance for the OSS community.

You know, I only use AMD chips and I've never run into a problem with either m/boards or video cards.

yeh i lkike amd chips too, but the 929 sockets are a tight fit, lol i ruined a nice clean mobo with a screwdriver once, and kn1 or whoever made the mobo replaced it after i told them it was a "processor problem" ooh well, still like amd the most. mayabe we will see some good video cards in the future.....ati could use some work AND QUALITY COINTROL :p
