Since I upgraded to a newer thunderbird links in email are opening in konquerer & I'd like to get back to having firefox as the default for thunderbird. It seems like this should be simple to change in preferences, but I can't see that option. I remember using a post from the old libranet forum before, but searching the old forum doesn't seem to be working too well for me. Can anybody help my failing memory on this...thanks...

There is a setting in Kcontrol that seems to do this, but there is also the update-alternatives --config x-www-browser command, run as root.

Don't know if this will do the trick, tho'

btw, welcome to the agora

Thanks, bluesdog for the welcome & the solution to my little problem. The update-alternatives --config x-www-browser command worked...very simple. Good to see this forum is continuing in the Libranet spirit!!

Thank you greybeard for posing the question and you bluesdog for the solution. I've had the same "problem", but I didn't quite know how to ask it properly. I thought the -x-www, at first, was some esoteric nomenclature, but when I tried the command as posted, it "worked a treat", as some say.
Thank you both.
