I have installed debian sarge on a pentium II IBM & have set up my dialup connection as usual with pppconfig. In the advanced options I enabled persist but this isn't working as it has with other linux installations I have done, so when my dialup disconnects (which is QUITE often-grrr!) it doesn't redial. Has anyone here run into this? Is this a bug in the version of pppconfig or am I missing something? I have tried a couple of different modems with the same result, & have gone back through the pppconfig a couple of times. thanks...
