I enjoy the challenge provided Linux From Scratch. The newest release fixes a few bugs and updates some of the software in the earlier 6.1 version.

The livecd version is the best way to go. It includes the latest edition of the book and all necessary software and an environment tailor made for building and installation.

hacked1o0o, what's the purpose of your sig file? It doesn't seem to me to support Linux yet you placed it on a linux forum.

As for Linux from scratch, ya give it a try, it's a great educational experiance.
