Just had a small annoyance with vlc crashing, following an update from libvlc0_0.8.6-svn20061008.debian-1_i386 to libvlc0_0.8.6-svn20061001.debian-4_i386
This is filed as a bug (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=392207), but I upgraded before it made it to apt-listbugs...
Fortunately, I tend to keep a lot of older packages in my /var/apt/cache, so it was a simple matter of using dpkg to downgrade.
I suspect all of us have experienced something similar, at one time or another, so I was wondering if a 'heads up' section might be useful..
Also, if someone needs a particular package, that is no longer available from a repository, we could help each other out, by using dropload, or even gmail..
What do you think?
