After reading the press release and the enGarde web site information, I was ready to dump CentOS and install engarde secure linux 3.0 on my experimental server. I even downloaded the LiveCD version and to try it out.

When I tried the LiveCD, I had login and password problems even though I had the activation key provided by their email registration process. I did finally get it to work somewhat but I had become uneasy about replacing my working system.

I read a couple of articles and found one on Linux Weekly that mirrored my login experience. The product really sounds nice and sould be great once the bugs are worked out. Maybe things will settle down soon with a bug fix edition. I'll be waiting.
