Has Debian dropped Webmin, can't find it in Testing or Sid?
I could only find the LDAP module in testing.

Seen something about it months ago. Not quite orphaned but not really maintained and therefore not submitted therefore not trickling down into testing. Someone was asking about it, wanted to take it over or something.
Not sure if there is more to the situation or not....

I did find it in Sarge, that is almost a year old.
Webmin is still actively developed. I installed it from a binary recently. It worked very well. I disabled it since I prefer command line configuration. Even with SSH it leaves a security hole since it allows remote root login.

Maybe the security hole is nthe reason it is not in testing .

I meant the debian package maintaner for webmin has not been really active. Nothing was submitted to unstable therefore nothing trickled down into testing. Yet I don't think the debian package has been officially orphaned so I do not think a new maintainer has been established. Someone had been talking on one of the lists about taking it over but I don't think I seen much of a response.
The reason it isn't in testing is because it is not in unstable. :) The reason it is not in unstable looks like it is because nobody has checked it in.
