FPS = First Person Shooter. There are 2 games I've had my eyes on lately. The first is Nexuiz (http://http://www.alientrap.org/nexuiz/), a fully GPL licensed game based on iD software's Quake 3 game engine code. It's classic run-and-shoot stuff, with some really creative levels and nice supportive community.

The second game is Legends (http://www.legendsthegame.net), a freeware game based on the game engine used for Tribes (I think) which is another "classic" shooter. The fun part about this game is rocket packs that let you fly around the area, and "skiing" which lets you move super fast along hills and valleys.

Both of these are graphically excellent, fun multi-player games that really show off how good Linux action gaming can be. Even if you don't play this stuff, I encourage you to check these games out. Cheers.
