LN3 and SATA drives

Does LN3 "see" SATA drives?

I need a new (and much larger) hard drive and also, in order to be able to use it, a PCI SATA or IDE card. At this stage I would prefer to get a SATA drive and card, with a view to having a RAID in the future. But I don't want to drive myself off LN3 yet. Hence my question.

LN3 did support some SATA cards, but not all modern cards.

If you need a PCI IDE interface card, stick with Promise. Do not waste your money (and time) on a SIIG card.
