Hi Fos,
It seems like I don't get an email notification about replies anymore. I usually set it to 'instant notification' but alas... no email.
Tina
Hi Tina,
I received some log errors on the server yesterday. I believe some of them referenced some email that failed at your address. I'll will start working on it this morning.
thanks, fos
I'm still working on the mail problem. I reset sendmail. It sends normal mail. I still checking on the vBulletin mail.
I'm going on a geology field trip to the Llano Uplift before sunrise tomorrow. It may be Sunday before I have much time. :frown:

Hi Tina,
Believe it or not, I'm still trying to sort out the email problem. It seems to be with the sendmail setup. Some mail systems are rejecting the mail since the server domain names don't match up properly. I'm still on the uphill side of setting up the virtual domains in sendmail.
My time is limited due to the end of semester flurry of work, semester exams, and grading.
I hope to free up some time for a concerted effort soon.
Sorry, fos

I do get the mail notifications...
Thanks Andre,
It does seem to be limited to some mail systems. I have the mail server very limited to prevent spammers from using it in some nefarious manner. The mail volume is very low.
On the mail that doesn't get through, the logged error message states that the domain names don't match.
I'm going to look at the virtual domain setup in sendmail. soon.... :)

Hi Tina,
I think I have the email notification system tweaked into performance.
I just tried it to one of my email addresses and it worked.
Let's hope?
Thank you,
fos
