View Full Version : Logging Into Debian 4
In the good old days of Libranet, it was possible to modify one of the GDM config files so that one did not have to enter user name and password each time you powered up. Naturally, I have forgotten the file to modify, so I was wondering if this is possible in Deb 4. It was a minor convenience, but I liked it. I am beginning to like Debian 4 more and more.

run gdmsetup as root to configure this.

Thank you for the quick response. I simply could not remember and my note keeping is about as disorganized as one might imagine.

Is it a good idea to leave the door wide open? No password:eek:

It's autologin, not passwordless. Not that secure, but someone has to brake into your house and sit in front of it to use it.
