Libranet Alumni sounds pretty good. I'll start making the mods for Libranet users (young & old) this evening.

I was thinking Libranet Refugees, too, but Alumni is nicer.

Libranet Veterans?

Suggestion, Jeff? Streamline the forum structure again merging the Libranet Only sections back into wherever they would logically fit, then add a prominent mention of "A new home for LIBRANET Veterans (or whatever you call us) and a welcoming place for Debian newbies..." in the description under Welcome and Info. Add a Sticky in that section specifically Welcoming the Libranetizens and explaining your mission to preserve a modest level of support for that distribution and harness the helpfulness and welcoming attitudes of that community to the benefit of other Debian users...

If folks keep posting reminders at the Libranet Forum, and newcomers arrive and see explanations of what's going on, you shouldn't have any problem getting them to embrace the new forums, however you have them organized in detail.

It would probably be best to optimize your own "brand" as much as possible, rather than try to mirror the Libranet forums structure. Your "No Flames for Noob Questions!!!" is a good start on that.

If Tal ever offers a database dump, then open a new forum for Libranet Archives and put all the old forums under it, closed to new postings but available for searches.

A few ideas for you, anyway. I have at least a clue how much hassle it is to keep re-working your forums. Thanks for your help for us all.

x = marks the spot ?

into Libranet? So, Libranext?

Hi Mike,

Your suggestions are excellent. I will start working them into the forum structure. The Libranet Forum members are the best internet group I have ever seen, an incredible knowledge base and willing to share. Open source at its best.
