I have just upgraded my Libranet via the Adminmenu. With the helpful suggestions from bluesdog, I got the graphics to work also! Thank you bluesdog. But now, I cannot log onto root, or open up the Adminmenu, however, I can pull up a console, and su to root on that. When I try to log on as root, it says no root logons available, The Adminmenu error says:
Command "/usr/lib/adminmenu/xadminmenu' ' not found
exactly like that, even with the odd spaces in the quotation marks at the end.
Any ideas or thoughts on this matter? I tried to add that particular line to usr,
but said I needed to be root to add it
Thanking you all in advance
Hyrral

Not being able to logon to the gui as root is SOP, as it is a serious security risk. You should be able to logon to a cli as root, or, as you said, su to root in a terminal.

For the adminmenu thing:

What happens when you try /usr/bin/xadminmenu from a user terminal?

I vaguely remember something weird happening with adminmenu following an upgrade, and the fix was really simple.

I'll do some digging.

btw, even though I still have adminmenu, and it appears to work, I have grown out of the habit of using it. I now prefer to locate and edit things 'by hand', as it were.

Edit: I just remembered -- you are upgrading from LN 2.8.1, correct? I'm not even sure adminmenu will remain functional following an upgrade from 2.8.1 to sarge.

Perhaps a Libranetter more experienced with 2.8.1 will lend a hand here
