I'm creating far too many coasters with the burner app in Nautilus. Any suggestions for a decent easy to use app. I don't burn that many, mostly digital pictures and backups.

I use K3b. I think it is the best piece of software in linux. Though it is a KDE app it can be made to work easily in Ubuntu. I've found it to be very reliable.

K3B is a fine peice of software. Once you use it, I doubt you will use anything else.

I use K3B on Linux. Very easy and reliable. It has many settings available for formats that you will hardly ever use. Billy has a Pioneer Radio/GPS moving map in his car. He needed to upgrade the map software. Pioneer required that the CD had to be formatted in some obscure format. I made a number of bad CDs with a commercial version of Nero Express on Windoze. I transferred the file to Linux and K3b had no problem at all on the first run.

I burn lots of CDs :)
I buy the 100 packs when they are on sale.

I started getting a bunch of coasters this spring. I narrowed it down to a batch of Memorex CDs.

The cheap Staples and Hp blanks I've not had a problem with.

I brought the rest of the Memorex disks to work & they seemed to work just fine on my burner at work.

I don't often use a gui for burning. If you still have problems try burning some iso files from the command line in verbose mode.

I'll throw in another thumbs up for K3B. I have nothing bad to say about it.
