Down for several hours - Sunday afternoon 1/20

The server was down for several hours today.

I noticed it almost immediately. However, I was unable to resolve the problem since I could not get to the server other than the remote console to try a reboot. That did not solve the problem.

I check the server farms network status forum. It showed a network problem but it had been resolved by 2:30. Sever response had not resolved at that time.

I sent in a trouble ticket. They emailed back that the server was ok???? It still wouldn't respond. I emailed them pack and suggested that it might be a network problem.

An hour or so later the server was again responsive. They emailed the stating that it was fixed with no reason given for the down time.

I sure wish I knew if it was my machine or their network.....

I'm sorry for any inconvenience. At least I perform regular backups.

I second that.

I was on the site yesterday and could not post. Started to worry that my tinkering hurt my system. Glad it was yours ;-)
