Default Apple - Ad supported operating systems?

Imagine forced ads on your iPhone. That would be bad enough. Can you further imagine forced ads on your desktop?

If that ever happened it would be Linux on my Macs.

It's a bad idea. People will just use a crack or download an ad-free version.

Besides that it is surprising how obvious patents can be these days...

Isn't the intent of running apps from the internet to force a captive audience for desktop advertising?

Not to change subject, but does Debian for Mac now support the Mac pentium processor architecture? Is dual booting still practicable?

It's stock x86 with EFI firmware that has BIOS emulation. So, yes, you can install Windows and Linux.

I dual boot my Mac OSX system with Ubuntu 10.4 LTS. The Ubuntu side runs very fast indeed.
